CBL to operate Vans business in India
Cravatex Brands (CBL) has announced its collaboration with Vans, a brand from the VF Corporation portfolio, to take over its operations in India
Cravatex Brands Limited, part of The Batra Group, a global Indian business founded in 1949 by Ram Kumar Batra, now announced a new partnership with VF Corporation for the Vans brand in India. The group has operations in Europe, UK, Middle East, India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Nepal and Africa, and owns headquarters in Mumbai and London.
Rohan Batra, Managing Director of CBL commented on the occasion: “We are delighted to add Vans to our portfolio. Vans is an iconic global brand and a perfect fit for our vision at Cravatex Brands to create India’s premier platform for fashion, sportswear and wellness". According to the same source, the focus will be on strengthening the distribution of the brand through an expansion of the retail network with a target of 50 stores in the next 5 years. Partnerships with wholesale retailers both online and offline, and investments into brand building and engagement of the consumer are in the pipeline as critical initiatives for the next few years.

The Vans brand will be added to an extensive CBL portfolio, which includes brands across the fashion, sportswear and wellness sectors such as FILA, Matrix, Stages, Les Mills, Ziva and Proline Fitness.
