Buenos Aires shoe store is a true adidas museum
A friend of Gary Aspden from adidas, made a trip to Buenos Aires and found a store full of adidas products. That wouldn't be worth being on the news if it wasn't for the fact that the products inside the store were mainly vintage products from the famous sports brand
This finding is particularly important, as since the 90s it became more difficult to find relics of the brand as European stores began to dispose of old stocks, many of them now out of production.
"The shop window was covered by old blue card boxes from adidas. Things of the World and 78 in Argentina before. I started having palpitations" Aspden tells.
The owner of the shop, Carlos Ruiz keeps the store as a therapy and an excuse to leave his house, especially since his wife died. His particular character and connection to the products imposed some limits to the number of items adidas managed to buy from him. The brand aims to use them for investigation and for exhibition purposes.
The film by Greg Bond tells the whole story.
