Brazilian footwear production grows between January and July
According to the Brazilian Association of Footwear Industries (Abicalçados), footwear production grew by 3.9% between January and July of 2024, compared to the same period last year
Footwear production should end the year with sustained growth, mainly driven by demand in the domestic (Brazilian) market, even if a gradual recovery is expected abroad throughout the second half of the year”, commented Priscila Linck, Market Intelligence Coordinator at Abicalçados (Brazilian Association of Footwear Industries).

Data prepared by Abicalçados indicates that footwear production grew by 3.9% between January and July 2024 compared to the same period in the previous year. According to the Brazilian association, 500.7 million pairs of shoes were produced during these seven months.

Production data, as well as consumption, exports, imports and sectorial employment, will be released and analyzed during the Scenario Analysis, an event held by Abicalçados that takes place twice a year. The event is held in Portuguese.
