Barefoot European Shoe Fair to be launched this year
The first edition of the Barefoot European Shoe Fair will take place from the 31st of July to the 3rd of August, in the halls of Messe Offenbach, in cooperation with HDS/L. 60 exhibitors are expected to attend
“It’s high time to take a closer look at this important shoe segment. And to offer the growing barefoot shoe community its own platform”, says Arnd Hinrich Kappe, Managing Director of Messe Offenbach, an organiser of international trade fairs, based in Offenbach in the Rhine-Main region near Frankfurt.
The first edition of the Barefoot European Shoe Fair will therefore be held there from the 31st of July to the 3rd of August, in cooperation with the German Federation of the Footwear and Leather Goods Industry (HDS/L), which is quite enthusiastic about this new trade fair.
According to the organisers, 60 German and international exhibitors are expected to attend the premiere with a range of barefoot shoes for men, women and children. The first two days of the event will be reserved exclusively for trade visitors, after which it will be open to the general public.
Roman Degenhardt and Kristin Fitterer, managing directors of barefoot shoe specialist Zehenspiel and co-initiators of this new trade fair, see the event as an opportunity to serve a fast-growing segment that needs an “independent platform where manufacturers, retailers and everyone involved with barefoot shoes can meet, inform themselves and exchange ideas”. “The broad spectrum of barefoot shoe brands will become visible in Offenbach”, they conclude.
