“We create high-quality, beautiful and versatile summer footwear. Our product delivers an experience of uniqueness, freedom and comfort and we do so using mostly cork, an highly-resistant and sustainable material”, that’s the opening statement of ASPORTUGUESAS, a new brand launching an innovative product.

Available in 11 different models,ASPORTUGUESAS are basically a flip flop with a cork sole. And although they resemble existing flip flops, the cork makes the difference in a brand who proudly wears the label “egofriendly footwear”.

The shoes will soon be on sale in concept stores, multi-brand stores and also through the website of the brand, with prices ranging between 27 euros and 40 euros.

The project resulted from an incubation project started in December 2014, by company ECOCHIC, which was supported by the Amorim Group, benefiting from the group’s extensive know-how, in terms of knowledge of the material and distribution networks.

Using a natural and versatile product, cork, the shoes are organic and comfortable, and make use of a wide range of colors. The innovative outsole design (which gives greater comfort when walking), the ergonomic and comfortable strip, and the greater resistance on the link strap and sole, as well as a better grip on wet roads, are key elements that characterize AsPortuguesas.
