APICCAPS with new TV programme
Portuguese Soul is the name of the new TV programme, made in partnership with TV station RTP2. It is hosted by Portuguese fado singer Gisela João and is broadcasted on Saturdays
The partnership between RTP2 and APICCAPS has resulted in Portuguese Soul, a TV program with the format of a documentary series. The program is hosted by fado Singer Gisela João.
Exploring her connection to the universe of Fashion, Gisela João embarks on a journey to discover several raw materials and the people that embody Fashion. Portuguese Soul looks at the beginning, in a documentary journey, made up of questions, discoveries and, above all, experiences, exploring, in each episode, the substance and know-how of each material.
Portuguese Soul aims to promote national fashion: “RTP once again opens the doors to the community and sets an excellent example of public television service”, considers Luis Onofre, President of APICCAPS.
"Portuguese Soul is a journey into the interior of eight raw materials. As with all travel, discovery is inherent. As in all trips, transformation is inevitable.”, said Lígia Gonçalves, the responsible for the scrip of Portuguese Soul.
“We take the issue of sustainability very seriously. For this reason, more than two years ago, the Action Plan for Sustainability in the Footwear Industry was launched”, recalls Luís Onofre. Among companies, universities and entities of the scientific and technological system “we involved almost 100 companies and launched more than 50 measures. We want to be leaders in the development of sustainable solutions for the footwear industry”, which is why “a document series such as these characteristics will help to place the theme of sustainability at the centre of our sector strategy, while contributing to raise awareness of the theme amongst the general public.
