Ambitious launches first 100% ecological model

The Portuguese footwear brand has unveiled CAP, an entirely ecological model whose components are either recycled or present an eco-friendly approach

According to the brand, this launch represents "a great leap forward on the path to a more sustainable future" and the "commitment to a continuous innovation work towards a greener tomorrow".

The sole incorporates rubber and cereals, and the insoles and lining are made of recycled materials. The canvas is made with Seaqual yarn (which reuses marine plastic waste), the inks are water-based and chemical-free and the laces are made of 100% recycled polyester. The packaging is more environmentally friendly, with a recycled and recyclable cardboard box, with recycled cord.

The new model is part of the SS22 collection, which “is inspired by the timeless athletic style of the 60s and 70s, reimagining this style for modern times. At the same time, this adaptation explores new ways to preserve our future, through more sustainable design and production”, explained the brand in a statement.
