Christophe Dehard has been elected as President of the French leather industry confederation Alliance France Cuir for the next three years. He succeeds Frank Boehly
Alliance France Cuir, formerly Conseil National du Cuir, has appointed Christophe Dehard as President for the next three years, following the annual general meeting held on the past 20th of June. He succeeds Frank Boehly, who has led the leather industry confederation since December 2014.
“I am proud to take over the presidency of Alliance France Cuir and to be the spokesperson for the 21 federations that make up our confederation. Our aim is to promote, in France and abroad, a French leather industry that is world-class and sustainable because it respects men, women and the environment”, commented the new president of Alliance France Cuir.
Under his leadership, the association will focus on addressing the challenges facing the sector, particularly in terms of social and environmental responsibility. Efforts to educate and raise awareness among the public and public authorities on the realities of the sector will also continue.
Christophe Dehard has extensive experience in the upstream sectors of the industry, including livestock and post/leather preparation. With an academic background in management and a rich international experience in the agri-food sector, he joined the SVA Jean Rozé Group (Les Mousquetaires Group) in 2012, where he ran the fifth quarter and by-product upcycling department for the beef and pork divisions.
Since 2018, he has also been President of the French Hide and Leather Federation and First Vice-President of the CTC, the professional committee for the development of the leather, footwear, leather goods and gloves industry.
