adidas to hire 2 800 employees throughout 2022
The sportswear giant has announced that its recruitment drive will occur in 307 locations in 47 countries to backfill vacancies, but also to create new jobs
More than 900 positions will be based in adidas retail stores, while approximately 500 people will be deployed in the areas of digital, IT and data & analytics. The company will also continue hiring in the area of sustainability, having stated that the number of hirings in this area has doubled since last year. In addition, adidas will also open over 50 apprenticeships or dual studies positions in Germany.

These new employees will join the company’s workforce, which is constituted of 62 000 people around the world. "We want to set standards as an employer. adidas is an employer like no other, and we go above and beyond every day to create an attractive working environment for our employees. adidas is fantastic, and I can only encourage those interested to apply”, commented adidas Executive Board Member, responsible for Human Resources, People and Culture, Amanda Rajkumar.

The news followed that announcement that Reebok plans to lay off 150 employees in advance of the sale to Authentic Brands Group, which should close in the first quarter of 2022.
