361 Degrees announces steady growth in sales
Comparable store sales continue to grow, according to the results for the quarter ended 31st December 2014
For the fifth successive quarter since September 2013, comparable store sales growth has continued to improve. During the quarter ended 31st December 2014 the company registered a 5.5% increases compared to similar period in 2013. The company determined this growth rate using a sample of 3 819 stores.
For the first time in 2014, there was an addition in stores throughout all the four regions of the country with a net increase of 163. The total number of franchised retailed outlets reaches now 7 319, with more than 72% in Tier 3 or smaller cities (with a especially strong presence in Northern China).
361º Kids, now with a network of 2 142 points-of-sale, presented sales growth of 6.3% in the quarter ended on the 31st of December.
According to the company: ”Despite a slowing economy, consumers appear to pay more heed to sporting and leisure activities, with rising level of health consciousness matching higher disposable incomes. In this final quarter of the year, retail sales have largely been driven by various promotions with the emphasis on volume over price.”
