12 Timberland stores to close across the UK
Outdoor clothing and footwear brand Timberland together with their retail partner 73 Retail are closing 12 stores across the UK. Other closures impacting The North Face and Havaianas
The decision came after 73 Retail filed for CVA (company voluntary arrangement) last November in a response to "though market conditions, industry volatility and business trends".
This decision is now leading to the closure of the 12 mentioned Timberland stores, as well as other brands' stores, including The North Face and Havaianas.
Twelve other Timberland stores will remain in trade, under a new business entity, while 73 Retail is expected to go into administration.
In the UK, Timberland will continue operations through their 25 own stores across the country. The brand should continue to invest in the UK, as the opening of a new flagship store in Carnaby Street (London) last November seems to indicate.
