Bottega Veneta is launching an academy to preserve craftsmanship
The Kering-owned Italian label is establishing the Accademia Labor et Ingenium, a school that reinforces its commitment to supporting and developing artisanal craftsmanship
Named after the brand’s founding values, 'Labor et Ingenium’ (Craft and Creativity), the academy is a “strategic pillar to preserve Bottega Veneta’s unique savoir-faire,” stated Bottega Veneta Chief Executive Officer Leo Rongone.
Located between the Bottega Veneta atelier in Montebello Vicentino and a new space at the brand’s manufacturing site in Povolaro Dueville, the Accademia will allow its employees, new hires, and external students to learn from master artisans through training activities. In addition, these masters will train 50 students annually, with the latter being guaranteed employment at the company after completing the course.
