Mexico: imports from Brazil growing by more than 60%
Data gathered by the Brazilian Footwear Industries Association (Abicalçados) reveals that in 2019 sales of Brazilian footwear to Mexico increased by 62.5% in value and by 74.4% in value
According to the latest information on foreign trade published by Abicalçados, in 2019, Mexico registered the biggest growth rate amongst Brazil's main destination markets.

Last year, Brazil shipped 1 412 836 pairs of shoes to Mexico with a total amount of 11 813 170 US dollars, growing by, 74.4% and 32.5%, respectively, when compared to 2018.

This was by far the most dynamic market, followed at some distance by Australia, a market with increases of 21.6% in volume and 30.7% in value.

Paraguay and Argentina, both ranking in the Top 5 destination markets for the Brazilian footwear industry, have registered declines both in quantities and value. Shipments of Brazilian footwear to Argentina declined by 24.7% in dollar terms and by 14.9% in quantities. As for the Paraguay market the declines were 23.6% in pairs and 24.8% in value.
