Clarks to reinforce Asia focus
The British-based shoe brand is now focusing on Asia and has announced an aggressive growth plan to open 100 stores in the region in the next twelve months
Clarks, celebrating its 190th anniversary in 2015 and operating through retail, wholesale, franchise and online channels and with a presence in 130 markets worldwide, is a key player in the footwear industry.
The company already owns a strong footprint in China with 600 points of sale and hundreds of stores across Asia, but is now strengthening its Asia investments while announcing 100 new stores, and further investments in infrastructure, people resources and capabilities.
The brand confirmed it will invest heavily in reinvigorating key existing stores in China, Japan and Singapore.
C&J Clark Limited, owners of the Clarks brand, the privately owned footwear business, was founded in Street, Somerset in the UK by the Clark family in 1825. The Clarks Group designs, develops and sells a wide range of footwear and accessories for men, women and children.
